All FSSGB members are welcome to submit items of general interest to our membership (preferably music-related, but not necessarily.) Official guidelines as to what's acceptable for publication have not yet been determined, so for now we're going on a case-by-case basis. To submit items for inclusion on this page, email them to
community at fssgb dot org.

FSSGB member and beloved folk musician Peggy Seeger is giving Farewell Boston Concert and Benefit for Eastern Service Workers Association (ESWA) at International Community Church, 557 Cambridge St., Allston, MA. Opening at 7:30pm by Irish singer/guitarist Kate McD. Doors open at 7:05pm. Suggested Donation of $20. Call ESWA at 617-265-9200 for tickets or donate at the door.

I have 1960s folk music memorabilia, including program book from Newport Folk Festival, July 1966 (81 pp.), Woody Guthrie Folk Songs (2 copies), copyright 1963 (264 pp.), Sing Out Magazine, 8 copies ranging from 1964-1966, Folk Singer's Song Bag (40 pp.), Burl Ives Song Book (115 songs), and Victorian Folk Songs, copyright 1965. vocalpie, an intimate a cappella ensemble is seeking male voices (tenor, baritone, bass) with performance experience. Our repertoire is an eclectic and challenging mix of world music styles including songs from Eastern Europe, Africa, and Asia, as well as Early American gospels and spirituals and works by contemporary composers. Our group is energetic, collaborative, fun, focused and committed to intonation and tight blend. Singer must be willing and able to rehearse weekly in the general Cambridge/Arlington area, learn existing repertoire quickly and have the comfort and confidence to
